1961 MGA 1600: SOLD
Customized this year, this is an original California car that has lived most of its life in San Luis Obispo California. It was a one-owner car until a year ago, when it was sold to its second owner.
The car had a full ground-up restoration done by its original owner and was updated with an 1800cc MGB engine and Weber carburetor. This was a very nice car to start with, but the second owner wanted something a little different. The cosmetic restoration that was done cost $20,000 and was recently completed.
The paint and body was stripped to bare metal and completely redone to a very high standard. The panels and doors all fit very well. This is a rust- and accident-free car. The upholstery was also redone in very nice leather. There are many modifications to the car that give it this racer look. The car does come with the stock windshield that can easily be replaced if one desires. This car also comes with a new convertible top and a powder-coated top frame. This is a very nice, great driving vehicle ready for its third “Caretaker”.
