2003 BMW Z8 ALPINA CONVERTIBLE – SOLD
We are beyond thrilled to offer this one-owner APLINA Z8 to the public for the first time since 2003! This BMW ALPINA Z8 Roadster is #446 of 555 examples produced and is powered by an ALPINA-tuned 4.8-liter V8 paired with a five-speed Switch-Tronic automatic transmission. This is one of 94 finished in Titanium Silver over Black Nappa leather, and it comes complete with a color-matched removable hardtop, a black soft top, staggered-width 20” Ronal wheels, xenon headlights, heated power-adjustable sport seats, a six-disc CD changer, Harman Kardon sound system, navigation, and air conditioning.
This one-owner ALPINA Z8 has spent its entire life in the upper Midwest and has just recently undergone a full refresh by BMW including 4 brand new tires (due to age) and a full fluid swap as well as a complete inspection to the amount of $5,000. This iconic ALPINA also comes with an extra front and rear wheel (offset is different) that the methodical owner purchased from his parts department when his Z8 arrived new. Included with the sale is the matching hardtop and stand, all keys, books, original window sticker, maintenance records and a clean carfax.
The 4.8-liter M62 V8 features double-VANOS variable valve timing, individual throttle bodies, a double-row timing chain, and hollow camshafts. Factory-rated output was 375 horsepower and 396 lb-ft of torque.
The Henrik Fisker-designed Z8 drew inspiration from the 507 Roadster of the 1950s and features aluminum body panels over an aluminum spaceframe. The Alpina Roadster was produced for the 2003 model year after standard Z8 production ended.
